After inheriting her mother’s home, our client faced a deeply personal decision - transform this house into her forever space. The journey began with a kitchen renovation, but the initial attempt fell short. Poor-quality finishes, design flaws, and workmanship issues left her disappointed and uncertain about the home’s potential.

The Design Challenge

Our Traditional Design Solution
We designed a warm, inviting kitchen centered on timeless simplicity and quality that lasts. The traditional aesthetic focuses on classic Shaker-style craftsmanship with clean lines and honest materials. Rather than trendy finishes that might date quickly, we selected durable, proven solutions that would serve this forever home for decades.
The design blends warmth through carefully chosen cabinetry finishes, durability through premium materials and construction methods, and functional simplicity through thoughtful layout and storage planning. Every element was chosen not just for beauty, but for how it would perform through years of daily use.
Premium Materials and Finishes
Cabinetry: We selected high-quality materials for durability and beauty. The custom Shaker-style doors feature precision joinery and smooth, durable finishes. White matte paint on the upper cabinets creates a clean, modern look, while the sage green painted finish on the lowers adds warmth and personality to the space.
Countertops: Premium-grade quartz countertops provide the perfect work surface - beautiful, durable, and low-maintenance. The waterfall edge detail on the island adds a contemporary touch and showcases the quality of the material.
Hardware: Brushed nickel hardware throughout the kitchen provides a subtle contemporary accent that complements both cabinet colors perfectly.
Storage Solutions
One of the key goals for this project was maximizing storage capacity. We incorporated:
- Custom pull-out pantry organizers that make every item easily accessible
- Corner cabinet solutions that eliminate wasted space and provide surprising storage capacity
- Full-height pantry cabinets for bulk storage and appliances
- Deep drawer base cabinets specifically designed for pots, pans, and larger cookware
- Custom cabinet interiors with adjustable shelving to accommodate changing needs
Lighting Design
Under-cabinet LED lighting provides excellent task lighting for food preparation while adding ambiance in the evening. The energy-efficient LEDs will provide years of maintenance-free operation.
